Good Performer but....

Bought the 80-10 high power version of this antenna. The antenna performs as advertised on all bands and the the quality appears to be good.
A few nits however...
1. One of the end insulators broke within 2 weeks of use. I had others...so no problem...
2. When I received the antenna, I found there was no way to raise it...the balun did not have any method of lanyard attachment. Following a series of "auto-responses" from their email account, I finally got to talk to the builder. As suspected, they recommended tying nylon through the eyebolts of the balun.
3. There were no instructions in the shipping package, although they are available on the web.
4. Also, the web illustration shows a "matching" network but it wasn't supplied. I suspect the matching network is the 98 foot of coax but I have no way to know. Emails to the manufacturer were met with "auto responses" saying they would be getting back to me....for almost 3 weeks!...still no response.
It is a good antenna but trying to get responses from them is a problem.

Reliable Multiband antenna

I have the 135 foot 80-10m version of this Windom. Technically this should be called an Off Center-Fed Dipole (OCF). It is coax fed off-center with a matching balun/transformer. They got the matching ratio right on this one. Low SWR on 75,40,20,17, and 10m, matches with internal rig tuner on other bands no problem. I have it supported by a pine tree about 60 feet in the center in an inverted vee configuration. Usually outperforms a ground mounted 5BTV vertical with 30 (33ft) radials. I have experimented with other multiband wire antennas, such as ladder line fed doublets and end fed inverted L's and haven't found anything better. Just put it back up in the trees for about the fourth time in two years. It is well made and the quietflex wire is easy to work with and very stealthy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple multiband antenna.

Excellent

Had a G5RV - Worked poorly for me. Had a Spiro Trapped dipole - fit in the space I had - but worked fair. The Classic Windom fits in 132 feet and works from 10 to 80 meters. I only need a tuner on 80 meters!!! Other bands have low swr as advertised. In QSOs with friedns this antenna performs much better than the other antennas I have used. I have a second one I have take traveling and it has worked well on 2 vacations.
I highly recommend this antenna.

A Performer

I was going to wait until after the CQWW contest before writing my review, but given how this antenna has performed over the past 4-5 days... I couldn't wait.
I had narrowed my choices down to a Radio Works Carolina Windom & this antenna. What swayed me were not only the reviews but that Antennas & More will repair/replace the antenna no matter how long you own it. Radio Works says, essentially, once it's up you're on your own.
The antenna is VERY stealthy and comes complete. All you have to do is find your trees, add your support line, and hook up your rig. (The enclosed product descrption/instructions/suggestions sould use a good spell checker, but that's a minor issue.)
Mine is up about 20ft and I'm running an FT-107M putting about 100W into it. Does it perform? Here's a list of the QSOs so far:
