If it looks like a Diamond and works like a Diamond, then ...  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
At first sight this appears to be a re-badged clone of the DIAMOND SX-600. See for yourself :

AVAIR website :

DIAMOND website :

The build quality is on par with what can be expected with the DIAMOND SX-600. The SO-239 connectors are gold-plated.

However a side-by-side comparision of the OEM specs shows that the AVAIR AV-600 unit is able to measure power upto 400W while the DIAMOND SX-600 can only handle a maximum of 200W.

The AVAIR AV-600 cost me a third of the price of a DIAMOND SX-600 ! Sure, someone somewhere has tweeked the box just the bare minimum so as not to get into trouble for violation of IPR rules.

Bottom-line : The AVAIR AV-600 is a well priced quality product that performs according to OEM specifications.

Best 73s !!!

Compact, accurate, and well made.  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
This is a really fine piece of equipment. Well made, accurate and compact, it does exactly what it says on the box - it covers from 1.8 to 525 MHz in 2 stages. It not only indicates the swr of the transmitted frequency, it is unbelievably easy to find the exact resonating frequency of an antenna simply by setting the "cal", switching to "swr", then rotating the frequency dial of the transmitter whilst keying. I use mine like a frequency analizer and it covers all the frequencies I would ever want, including marine & pmr. I wouldn't do without it.

Best swr/power meter at a good price  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Now what can I say one of the best Swr meters for the price. Another company has the same meter which seems to be the same inside and out, with just the name badge changed. It is double the price so why waste your money on the more well known make when this is the same thing !!!!!
Checked against a more expensive model meter and it is very accurate. So look no further this is the one you want in my opinion
