Galvin Manufacturing BC-1000 Backpack radio Reviews: 0 Average rating: (no reviews) MSRP: $(missing—add MSRP)
Description: This is one of the ONLY radio's that can be correctly described as a "Walkie Talkie". It often confused with the BC-611 "Handie Talkie". Some civilian got the two confused which caused everyone to call handheld radio's Walkie Talkies. This radio transmitted 500mW FM from 40 to 48Mc in 200Kc steps. It was used by combat troops in WWII. It's total weight with battery was about 32Lb. This radio was one of the first to use FM in the battlefield.
