Boy, do I wish I still had it!

Bought it many years ago! Neat design and neater operationally. Never used it mobile but was great as base QRP meter. Dropped it last year and it shattered.
Wish someone, somewhere would make a decent QRP cross-hair manual tuner!

Have had two of these for mobile use since 2003 the best watt meters I have owned for mobile use.The are still the best to me in design for mobile operations. While the diamond SX20/40 are simular in size and accurcery they do not have a mounting bracket.
Crossing my fingers they do not fail.

This review is for the Daiwa CN-465M, which is the 140-450MHz version of the CN-410. There are 4 meters in the CN-400 series. I am very satisfied with the performance and accuracy of this instrument. The cross-needles make reading forward power and SWR very simple, and the needles themselves are a very visible flourescent red in color. Incidentally, the meter has 2 scales, 15W and 75W. The meter is also backlit, if you choose to connect it to a 13.8 VDC source. The design is also visually and ergonomically pleasing, looking like a hybrid base and mobile meter in one!

I have using one piece of this nice army designed
meters for a two years without any bad experiences.Meter is wery accurate.Inside is shown good work of manufacturer.Two lamps i heve replaced with two bright blue led and the resistor increased to 470 ohm.After this "mod"
my meter takes a fresh breath and still staying
side by side with my new FT897 with selected blue
color.

Great little portable SWR/Power meter

I bought one in 1999 from HRO and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I use it mobile and portable as it is lightweight and does not require power(except for meter lighting which is optional).
This meter got a good review in QST (circa 2002)in comparison to the other popular SWR meters currently on the market, and is quite accurate considering the broad frequency range it spans. I use it QRP on the low power scale and it is very accurate with my FT 817.
Unfortunately, Yaesu, in its infinite marketing wisdom, discontinued production. They are still
on eBay and and swapmeets.
Grab one if you can!
