Great for Resto Work

Also applies to Heath IT-22. If you play around with Boatanchors you need to take home one of these cap testers from a hamfest or flea market. It will sort out your old Hi-voltage electrolytics and you can reform those old caps with this insturment. You can also reform those old multisection caps found in old radios. I have reformed many in circuit in old radios also you can apply voltage to spot other problems in the circuit path. You can test those old 600 voltage rating caps with this tester. New digital cap testers or LCR meters are more accurate but this old tester is accurate enough for old radio repair and resto work.
