This is a great study aid  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I used Hamtestonline for all three exams and passed my tech in June, my Gen in July and the Extra in Jan 2012... it was a lot of fun to study with it and all the cool web based info made learning even better... I am sure it will work for you.

Made the tests fun!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I used HamTestOnline to pass the Technician and General test in the same session.

I had been curious about amateur radio but never had any experience with it or knew any hams. I thought I could explore the subject with the Technician license, but once I started using HamTestOnline I had so much fun I decided to go for the General. I used ARRL books as well as Gordon West and to get a feel for what the gear was like I looked at a lot of ads. But HamTestOnline really made it possible for me to not only pass the tests but to learn a lot while making a bit of a game out of it. It structured my self-teaching.

In fact, I liked the process so much I found myself logging on during work breaks. In less than 2 months I went from absolute beginner to General.

I highly recommend it. In fact, as soon as I finish setting up my rig I'm going to start on the Extra. By the way, I'm 73 and was never an engineer...

Great Study Aid  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
It is hard to add much more than has already been said. I passed my Tech, General and Extra exams this year and I could not be happier with the value of using HamTestOnline.

I used the program in conjunction with ARRL material, filling in gaps that HamTest covered in only a general manner. Learned a lot.

Well Worth The Money!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I admit to having been more than a bit skeptical about this program but I figured what the heck, give it a try. I am proud to say that my decision to pay for this course has led to my passing the General and now holding my Extra ticket.
The program is laid out in a logical manner and makes learning the subject matter as easy as possible.
I highly recommend this course to anyone comtemplating an advance from Technician to either General or Extra.

Good study aid  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
The Hamtestonline program worked very well for me.Used ARRL handbook and some of my old electronic books for reference. Passed Tech first try missed one my fault didn't read ? well. Having electronics experience made much a good refresher. Continued study took general 5 months later passed first time no problem. In fairness I moved and had many projects over summer didn't study very much till last week or so. worked on extra passed first try no issues. I am sure my past background added to my ease of understanding but using other reference material plus the included reference would be quite easy for anyone that reads and makes notes. Great program.Start from no license to extra in 5 months with1/2 of that during busy summer with very little study. less than 50 hours total. Go for it. KK4BXD extra class

Great resource  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
In addition to the Gordon West materials, I used HamTestOnline for both my General and Extra exam prep and it is a great product. The way the study groups are put together makes the learning much easier. A few weeks spent with this course will greatly increase your chances of understanding the subjects and passing the test.

Fantastic Prep for Extra  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I started working on my Extra about 4 weeks before I took the exam. I used a combination of the Hamtesonline and Gordon Wests extra prep book. The combination of the two really were effective for me. I really like the repetitive nature of Hametestonline. And Gordon West's book offered different views on the topics which worked for me.
I put in 40hr of study with Hamtestonline over about 4-5 weeks and passed my exam with a 92%.

    I highly recommend HameTestOnline.

The best method ever!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This was one of the best online learning experiences ever, and I've completed several successfully. Books are fine; but there is just too much theory to absorb and remember, and to zero in on what you may be asked on testing is next to impossible. For instance, 'Ham Test Online' takes the actual FCC pool of 700+ questions for the 'Extra Class' exam and the 'Study' portion of 'Ham Test' actually explains the theory behind the answers, so you do actually learn the material that the FCC wants you to know. When you feel comfortable with the 'study' portion you can move on and do actual random testing. Passed all three exams without difficulty. I'd recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming a HAM radio operator. Whether it be Technician, General, or Extra Class...just go for it.
I managed to make the 'Top Ten List' on 'Ham Test Online'! Can you?
    Best of luck,

Zero to Extra 6 weeks  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
My son is getting ready to do some offshore sailing and I wanted to be able to reach him by radio so I looked around for a good online study guide. I wasn't interested in memorizing the answers - I wanted to know the material, hamtestonline did just that. I chose to study all three elements at the same time knowing that I could take as many elements as I could pass in one session. I walked in with calculator in hand and took element two, three, and four. Passed with flying colors. I highly recommend Hamtestonline. Douglas AK4NJ

Gives you the confidence you need  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Using hamtest online along with the ARRL study guid you will not miss. It took less than 15 minutes because I learned the material and did not have to count on memorizing answers. I advanced to general and will be looking forward to extra
