Simple to build with excellent performance  Time owned: more than 12 months
I've built several of the Midney kits, and it's matching SSB transmitter the Kingsdon. Assuming you can handle a soldering iron and have access to basic test equipment both are straightforward to construct with well written instructions. Make sure you do the quick tests between each stage and you won't go wrong. Backup support from Tim Walford is second to none. On air the Midney sounds better than my Yaesu rig ! There is nothing like saying the station here is home made, it makes Amateur Radio a lot more fun.
