MFJ frame is a better deal

The ARRL produces a perfectly good license plate frame, but the MFJ frame, priced at $2.95, is a better deal. Granted, the holes are drilled in the wrong places and "Amateur" is spelled "Amatuer," but two bucks is two bucks.

Great product, but not for the technically challenged

This is definitely one of the best ham-radio gadgets available today. Watch ebay as some used ones will show up from time to time, though they seem to command top dollar, even used.
Installation was a breeze, although the instructions were a bit vague. Make sure that you follow proper grounding procedures and wear safety goggles.
The functionality and appearance are top-notch. Both Hams and non-Hams alike have commented on the pithy saying, "When all else fails - Amateur Radio." Even the policeman who pulled me over for speeding in a school zone just chuckled and let me go with a warning after reading the frame.
The on-air comments have been just as favorable. I don't know how many times I have been asked if I am running an amp. When I reply, "Nope, just the ARRL license-plate frame," they are truly amazed. Then they sign off abruptly.
I would like to see a QRP model with very, very small letters.

Does not cause global warming

I've had this magnificent accessory for about four years. It does what it's designed to do.
Cons:
Plastic constructin is a bit flimsy; I'd prefer metal.
Helps the Photo Radar slugs prove that it really WAS your car!
Pros:
It has nothing to do with D-Star or Wires.
NO programming software needed.
Does not require purchase of carbon credits.
Not endorsed by Oprah.
Motto, "When All Esle Fails - Amateur Radio" still arouses suspicion among the politcally-correct crowd.

Best Investment Ever!!

Money well spent. I couldn't wait to pull out of the driveway after I installed mine. And, if you're afraid that someone might be as so bold to steal it, secure the frame/plate with tamper proof screws. Works like a charm!!

Worth every penny!

Similar in functionality as lightning protection for the rig, this little thing protected my license plate from the impact of a semi. The car was messed up, but my ARRL frame protected my Amateur Radio license plate from certain destruction. I had to replace the car, but that same frame is in use today!
You need this protection on your car! It's also said to improve propagation!

Great DX!

After placing my license plate frame on my vehcile, my DX improved 100%! I was also able to work the world QRP mobile!
A great investment for any ham. Not only does it improve transmitting capabilities, but my reception was VERY much improved!
No direct connection is needed from the rig to the plate frame. It's.........like magic!

You Must Be Kidding.......

Sorry, but I had to pick #2 or 'needs help'. Why in the world anyone would choose to review a trim ring around a license plate is beyond me. Just WTF?!?! Maybe someone will buy me one for my birthday as all I have right now is a Ken Dixon Chevrolet one and it must be defective because every time I wash the car, it snags and rips my wash rag.
Hey guys, should I start a review thread for my nerdy call sign badge from The Cap 'N' Badge Man, or how about my dog's chew toy, after all, she chews it while she's in here in the hamshack? Man I just am not even believing this.

Its a license cover

Its just another piece of plastic that goes around you're license plate. It just sits there and does nothing. Hell I really have to strain myself and endanger other drivers to see it on my car. Overall its not really worth the money. I'd rather get one with a naked women on it or outline my license plate with orange ball fringe anyway....
