See my review in another category here. Its a must have addition to the FT-817. I wish the charger would be delivered with it. Improvs operating time by 75 percent.

This item is a great little addition to your accesories for the FT-817. The ease of charging and portability of this item are tremendous. I would definitely suggest this item for anyone who likes to do some hiking and wants to take the rig with them. I also can't say enough about this company's customer service. I had a few questions about the product, and they were more helpful than you can imagine...they bent over backwards to help!
