Great Unit  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I have used a DI120 for over six months as an interface between an MDX2600 and a FT-757 GXII. The unit works as specified and shows no sign of being prone to RFI (even when sitting on top of an amplifier !). A low cost, effictive solution.

Just a general comment - quality Audio Frequency equipment is just that - it is not dependent on brand name or the initial intended market. Strange as it may seem it does not need to have a Yaesu / Kenwood / Icom / (insert your own favorite name here) brand stamped on it to make it good quality audio gear that can be used for amateur radio purposes.

Most quality audio equipment can be easily interfaced to your radio - its use is not just restricted to professional / commercial / broadcast operation.

Further investigation done.  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
After on air tests, the Behringer DI 120 proved itself to on air listners who said I came thru very very quiet. An XLR output is perfect. I just added an XLR to Kenwood 2000 microphone cord, provided by Heil Microphones, and I am all set. Excellent build quality and performance. I need not spend more. All for only $19.95.

Unfortunately NOT the same units...  Time owned: more than 12 months
I read, with interest, the comparison of these two very Dis-similar units...
Ibox is Passive while Behinger requires Active Input buffering preamp - Both use Isolation transformers - Behringer designed for Unbalanced Amped Input to Balanced Output to a console, for example while Ibox is designed to Input a console's Balanced Line Level Output, for example, provide over 40db of continuously adjustable attenuation from typical Line Level to Output to typical amateur radio Mic Level Unbalanced Input - Ibox has PTT switching built-in and Behringer does not have switching capability - Ibox uses 5-pin DIN connectors while Behringer uses XLR and 1/4" - Ibox is specifically designed for amateur radio applications with comprehensive configuration possibilities and Behringer is relatively non-existent - Both Ibox and Behringer appear to be designed with R.F. suppression in mind - Ibox is available in Kit form and Behringer is not - Both are Quality products. Because this is an Amateur Radio Product Review, Ibox gets a "5" while Behringer is a "2". Of course there will always be those who will want to fit a round peg in a square hole because it IS cheaper. 73 es God bless, murf/wv4r.
