GREAT!!!  Time owned: more than 12 months
These are ferro-ressonant transformers. The transformer regulates the incoming voltage from about 80 VAC to 135 VAC and outputs 120 VAC. This works no matter what the load up to the transformer rating. They put out 1% or 3% depending on the model pure sine waves. I have used these for nearly 20 years in my Hamshack. I have installed them in commercial situations which cured many problems.

The cats meow.

The Best.  Time owned: more than 12 months
If one wants protection and voltage stability with clean power, the Sola is a high performer. Connecting a Sola to your older classic radio will remove drift due to line voltage variations. If one is using a computer, the protection provided is superior to most AC filters due to real magnetic isolation. Although expensive, the Sola is the industrial industry standard that engineers specified for many years in tough environments. Simply, the problems go away.

The only negatives is the heavy weight, some audio hum one can hear and transformer core saturation mode produces heat. I use these Sola units remote from my ham shack.
