I have had my maldol huv-8 now over 3 years and with the help of my atu in my Kenwood 2000 its works very well I get it to work all band bar 1.8 witch is asking some what, other than that its ok but you really need a antenna analyzer to do vswr I did not have one so could not get it as I want but with the aid of the tuner in the radio it tunes, i have had some good contacts all over the world,if you haven't much room this is the antenna to go far.

poor performance

I assembled my antenna per instructions, after converting (mm) to inches ,checked and double checked used new coax 9913,installed on tower, seemed to rx ok,then checked vswr! 2 m and 70 cm perfect, then proceded to check other bands, off scale on swr,,i removed and rechecked all elements being sure radiator elements and radial elements were in correct places, everything was correctly installed per owners manual, checked vswr ,still cannot get it to work, bad antenna could only use 10 m with antenna tuner ,other bands just would not work, any suggestions would be appreciated,i paid big money for antenna ,poor in my opinion
