I have phased 2 Cushcraft MA8040V's - 1/2 wl apart on 40M (1/4 wl on 80M). I use 3/4 wl 213 coax and I am seeing the difference when I switch from end fire to broadside. Its not as "dramatic" as my Comtek 20M 4 square, but it is noticeable - about the 3 db you would expect.
The product quality and value is very good and Jim at Comtek is a very nice guy to do business with.
