Nice sounding speaker, good supply, built to last  Time owned: more than 12 months
The IC-3PE is a power supply Icom marketed back in the very late '70s and early '80s to match their then current 10W VHF/UHF mobile rigs. Rigs that fit on top included the IC-280, IC-245, IC-24E, IC-22U, IC-22S, IC-22A, IC-22, IC-20, IC-230, IC-220, IC-30A, IC-30, IC-320, and IC-60. However, that top surface is also a perfect place to set a Yaesu FT-817 for base use. I'm using mine to power a trio of old Icom VHF SSB/CW portables: the IC-502, IC-202, and IC-302.

For a 3 amp supply this thing is big and very heavy by today's standards. The speaker is decent sized and provides nice audio, and is a big improvement over the tiny little speakers in my old Icom portables or in today's QRP rigs like the FT-817. The unit is solid metal and built to last. It's got nice, big terminal screws in the back as well as a jack for audio in.

For QRP base operation I can't think of a better station accessory. Great supply, great speaker, and truly microscopic prices (typically $10-$30) on the used market depending on condition. Highly recommended for the QRPer or if you have one of those vintage Icom mobiles.
