Comm. Quality-Good Sound-Mobile Mounting  Time owned: more than 12 months
The YAESU FSP-2 is a quality mobile speaker. Unfortunately it is no longer in production & very difficult to find information. I bot two of these units circa 1985 and I suspect they were made for at Least five years perhaps even much longer. Of course I immediately opened the heavy duty plastic case held together with four long screws to reveal a surprisingly large magnet driving approximately four inch speaker. The metal mounting bracket is very adjustable and the two large screw-knobs on each side allow the bracket to be mounted and then the speaker installed which can be very convenient for some installs. the non-shielded cable is terminated in the 'standard' 3.5mm mono-mini plug compatible with most modern rigs and it is Soldered, not crimped inside the case. The Sound is very good due to the heavy magnet and the heavy black plastic case which is quite accustically dampened. If you can find one, snap it up. If the speaker is bad, it can be easily replaced since it is a quite 'standard' size as well. Since I have been using these units both mobile and fixed for over twenty years without a burp, they have earned the wv4r FIVE-Star rating. 73 es God bless, murf.
