MSRP: $$700

Description: This is a multifinction controller with built in PL/DPL encode/decode. It has a large vocabulary and a DVR built in as well. It plugs right into a Vertex 5000 repeater where the existing controller wires are. This is the simplest of installs hardware speaking you can get. The software is a bit confusing but once you go through it step by step it becomes just as simple. It has numerous status LEDs that can tell you everything. It is now compatible with the Doug Hall RB1 interface for having other links. You can even design your own interface since the socket is already on the controller.
It also updates firmware directly from the net to the controller eliminating the need to burn proms.
Its compatible version the RI300 is identical except comes rack mountable and will interface to any other repeater with the usual in/outputs.

I have been using pacres controllers for 8 years now... more precisely, the ri-310 since 98 and more recently the ri-210. I am 100% satisfied with both units especially with the 310 the level of remote control that I have with this unit is extraordinary of course this is provided it's combined with the vertex 5000 repeater.
I also use the arcom and cat controllers however, I prefer the design and the ease of programming on the pacres. Also, Greg was always there to provide tech support any time I need it. Great product very good company good updates for their products. A+++

Easiest to interface to the Vertex 5000 repeater

This controller is multifunctional and loaded with all you will want. It has its own built in PL/DPL which is fully capable of cross encode/decode.It has an extensive close to 700 word vocabulary and even has its own DVR to record over the air your own voice as well if that syntehsized speech is annoying to you like it is to most of us. It has free firmaware upgrades via the net nit requiring burning new proms to update your controller. The software is simple once you get the basics down. It is a windows based software. This was a perfect match to the Vertex 5000 repeater since it plugs right into the exisiting repeater's own wiring requiring none to be done. Just set your levels via software and your good to go.Its is a great choice!
