Worthless with XP Home
|
Time owned: 0 to 3 months
|
I hooked this converter up to my new Dell XP Home computer and installed the supplied XP driver in accordance with the instructions. Windows became unstable giving driver errors and requiring re-boot. I removed the driver and Windows became normal again. The supplied driver is not XP certified by Microsoft but Hawking claims it works fine with XP.
I contacted Hawking and was told that I should use a different computer.
I then purchased and installed a VScom adapter which came with a Microsoft certified driver for XP. It works 100% thus far.
