Not much to say apart from we stuck this little thing on the boot mount on a BMW 540 and got the SWR down to 1:1 on both bands using an MFJ Analyzer. We set off mobile on a 100 mile round trip using just the basic 5Watts with a FT-817 and we got through in a pileup to PA1K on 40m - thats about 1000 miles at 7:30pm at night on the East Coast of England to the Netherlands! Our report was a pleasing 5 & 4.
But best of all - at 11:30pm on 40m we heard a VK chatting to a MW clear as day 5 & 2. Other stations heard were Cuba on 40m and South Africa 5 & 9++ on 15m
