FT-1000D & 4CX1000 AMP REPAIR

MY NAME IS HORACE/W3AE FROM PHILADELPHIA,PA. I FOUND OUT ABOUT LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS 27 JAN.2010. MY FT-1000D HAD NO POWER OUTPUT & I HAVE A HOMEBREW 4CX1000A LEFT TO ME BY MY ELMER WHEN HE BECAME A SILENT KEY. YAESU SAID MY RIG WAS TOO OLD TO FIX. NO ONE COULD HELP ME IN GETTING THE 4CX1000A UP & RUNNING. WHEN I CALLED HAL FROM LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS HE SAID BRING BOTH ITEMS UP TO HIM. I TOOK THE 2 ITEMS TO HAL ON THE 29 JAN.2010 AND HE CALLED ON THE 3 FEB. 2010 AND SAID TO ME BOTH PIECES OF EQUIPTMENT WERE UP AND RUNNING PERFECTLY. I WENT BACK THE 5 FEB.2010 AND TOOK BOTH PIECES OF EQUIPTMENT UP AFTER HAL PUT THEM ON THE AIR AND SAID TO ME THAT LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS STANDS BEHIND ALL THEIR REPAIRS. IF YOU HAVE AMATEUR EQUIPTMENT HARD TO FIX OR FINDING PARTS FOR IT, GIVE HAL A CALL. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST REPAIR ENGINEERS FOR FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPTMENT THAT I HAVE MEET IN 40 YEARS AS A AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR.
THANKS HAL/K6PDZ YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON TO TALK TO. I LOVE THE WAY YOU ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS PUT TO YOU ABOUT ANY ELECTRONIC EQUIPTMENT.

Having problems with with any piece of yaesu gear,need fast reliable service with in the tristate area ny.nj.conn.. or even europe? hal is your man! last week i turned on my 20 year old
Ft-1000d which alway performed flawlesly to find that the auto tuner would not tune into my 50 ohm
dummyload/and antenna. the hi swr led would come on and shut down the transmitter... no output...
bypassed the tuner and it would operate for a half hour and shut down..... I called yaesu in california, spoke to a tech.manager.and was told that yaesu nolonger services the Ft-1000d...i was referded to hal for his high tech attrabutes
and complete knowledge of all yaesu radios... i come to find out yaseu speaks highly of hal.and his repairs. he his very resonable with repair costs and fast repair turnaround.drop off the radio thursday night pick it up sunday morning at his shop fully realigned an repaired to factory specs...the ft-1000 operating like new.

ALL RADIO REPAIRS........

SILTRONIX 1011D REPAIR

HAL AT LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS IS A GREAT PERSON TO DEAL WITH. HAL REPAIRED FOR ME AN OLD SILTRONIX 1011D THAT WAS IN BAD CONDITION NOW IT WORKS LIKE BRAND NEW. VERY VERY FAST TURNOVER. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST ANY
AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR WHO NEEDS ANY TYPE OF REPAIR TO CONTACT HAL AT LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS. YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG. SINCERELY KB3HOG 73'S AND 88'S TO HAL AT LAND AIR COMMUNICATIONS

WRL 84 Lives Again

This was a tricky one. I brought Hal an old WRL Model 84 Duo-Bander from 1966 that had been dead for more than 20 years (the guy who sold it to me said 20 years, but it was probably closer to 40 years ... sitting in an apparently damp enviroment, like a garage or an attic.) It's not clear if the rig was factory wired or built from a kit, but there were cold solder joints in several places along with several decades worth of corrosion and it's possible that the rig had never made it to the air. Of course the WRL 84 didn't come with a power supply, so I asked Hal to modify an old Heathkit HP-23 I had lying around(which wasn't even close to having the proper voltages for the WRL.) Well, Hal worked his magic and presto -- this little gem from World Radio Labs comes back to life with the modified Heathkit supply (at full power out, no less.)

Great JRC repairman!

I had a JRC-135 HP transceiver that was distorting
quite badly on transmit.Currently JRC is out of the amateur equipment business.Even when JRC was active in the amateur radio business there were very few places that sold their transceivers.If all this wasn't enough,my JRC 135HP is about twenty years old.
The only place that would even look at my JRC was Universal Radio, the place where I bought it originally.They were unable to fix it, but spent quite a bit of time on it. Universal was really nice to me and didn't charge me any thing. At this point I thought that my JRC was toast. Then
I found out about Hal and talked with him on the phone.He had no problem with JRC stuff and I sent my radio to him. Hal troubleshoots down to the component level and he found a bad cap in the PA section of and the radio and replaced it. Hal is great to deal with and he called me several times
on the phone to update me on his progress. He even called me after I got the radio back to see if it arrived safely and to make sure it was still working OK. I can't recommend Hal highly enough.He really knows what he is doing and his charges are quite reasonable. So if you have a JRC or any other radio for that matter,give Hal a call. I think you will be very pleased with his service

i gave my ts-440 to hal Land Air Communications on a friday it had a receive and transmit problem and he called me on monday and told me it was fixed. all i got to say is for those that gave him a bad review i cant seem how it was possible hal is a gentelemen and he treated me with respect and he really knows his stuff, he was honest and his price was very very reasonable. i am extremely happy with his work and his honesty, and i highly recommend him to anyone that needs ham radio repairs. hal is a great guy to talk to and to know give hi a chance and you wont be sorry.

I AM MOST GRATEFUL FOR FINDING HAL.HE SOLD ME A COLLINS PART I THOUGHT WAS TOO LATE TO FIND.HE CHARGED ME A FAIR PRICE AND IMMEADIATLY SHIPPED IT TO ME.IT WAS EXTRA WELL BOXED.HAL HAS ALOT OF EXPERIENCE IN SHIPPING TOO.HE HAS SOME GREAT RADIO'S AND CHECKS EVERYTHING CAREFULLY BEFORE HE SHIPS.HE'S AN EXCELLANT ENGINEER.HE WAS ALSO VERY HELPFUL WITH GREAT ADVICE.CALL HAL TODAY TO SEE IF HE HAS WHAT YOU WANT.YOU WON'T BE DISAPOINTED.HAL IS A GREAT GUY,KEEP THE TALK TIME TO A MINIMUM,HAL HAS OTHER WORK TO DO.

Fixing any radio

I have to say weither it was my Hammarlund HQ170A VHF or Something just out of a box from a Dealer!I have NEVER been disapointed by Hal's abilities to do the impossible!
I gave Hal a a old reciever HQ-170A which was a Tech's electrical nightmare and it NOW has beautiful audio and phenoninal sentitivity!
There is other gear in the future, I will be sending because he has proved his WORTH!
