Reviews Summary for Ten-Tec 1059 Foxhunt Transmitter Kit
Ten-Tec 1059 Foxhunt Transmitter Kit Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $12.00
Description: Simple low-power FM Foxhunt transmitter, per FCC Part 15 rules. Tune it to any quiet part of the 88-108 MHz FM band to hear a distinctive "beep-beep" modulation.

Great introduction to ham radio since anyone can use their own FM portable radio to discover the basics of direction-finding. Includes board-mounted on-off switch and 9V battery snap. PC board is 1.75" square and Altoids compatible.
Product is in production.

Fun one-evening kit!  Time owned: more than 12 months
This is a real simple one-evening project. A small trimmer capacitor allows you to adjust the frequency setting to transmit within the commercial FM band. A 556 timer chip provides pulses to turn the oscillator on or off. Pulsing is also indicated by a blinking red LED.
