So far, so good!

My experience with the Comet and Diamond versions of this antenna has not been the greatest--they ALL break. I have had this one for nine months and it acts as if the form has cracked in one of the coils. But it still performs and is still holding together, with the help of a little electrical tape! At less than half the cost of the "name brands," I think it is a good value.

It works well on Two meters but the UHF sucks! I tried two diffrent ones and neither works as well as the small MFJ dual band antenna on UHF. So Jet Streems claims to fame on this antenna suck. It does as I said work well on VHF! But also I bought the JTH2 Hand Held tri band antenna because the Jetstreem guy said it would out preform the one on my new THF6A Kenwood hand held tri band.
Wrong it sucks big time. It's not near as good as the antenna Kenwood supplied on the hand held.

Great value for the price!

Other than the fold-over joint being a little weak-- mine folded over while driving at highway speed.. fixed by "guying" with two mini bungee cords to trunk lip mount.. mine has done a terrific job! Outstanding range, and flat swr across both 2m and 440.
R&L stocks Jetstream as a "house brand;" I recently purchased a JTB1 for the shack based on performance reviews from friends who have them plus my own experience with the 7900. You really can't go wrong with Jetstream antennas for the price!

Good solid Antenna

This antenna from R and L looks very much like the 7900 offered from Commit. It seem to work very well I have not checked the SWR. I have only had it installed for two days. I wish the included trunk lip mount sent with the antenna had a longer coax. The 3 meter lenght just made it to the rig mounted under the passenger seat.
