I grabbed one of these for use at my easy chair. I installed a outside antenna (opec 200) at 20 feet. sens of the receiver is very good through out its scanning range even 800 mhz. Very fast channel scan speeds and programming not difficult even without a keyboard. My main gripe is very intermod and overload prone from local transmitters but for the $85 I paid for it new I am not going to complain. If you need something like this to help you relax in the evening buy it you won't be sorry.
