Recent Vanity Purchase  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently purchased the Vibroplex "Gold" Original Bug. This was purely a Vanity purchase, as I already had a Vibroplex Original Deluxe Bug. Both bugs are identical, except the base on the "Deluxe" is heavily chrome-plated, and on the "Gold" the base is heavily plated with 24 karat gold.

I notice a lot of people sending Morse on 40 CW with dots at 30 words per minute, and dashes at 20 words per minute. To slow my Vibroplex bugs down, I attach one or more wooden clothespegs to the vibrator arm. Ugly, but works. You can also buy an expensive accessory from http://www.vibroplex.com called the "Bug Tamer" which essentially does the same thing as my clothespegs.
