A REAL BARN BURNER  Time owned: more than 12 months
I bought this amp used around 3 years ago.It is everything Henry claimed it to be and a lot more.
It only needs a little bit of drive to get the power way up there. It does not have 160 on it but I never talk down there.
The blower is loud but what would you expect ,You have to keep this monster cool.
Another good this is keeps the shack warm in the winter.Would I buy another one YOU BET

Wonderful, get one if available  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Bought this brute linear recently in like-new condition. I have had almost all of the bigger linears on the market like the Command Tech 2500HD and Amp Supply 800C TNY and the Alphas. This amp has a beautiful PS with 3500v in CW position and 4500 in SSB service. Has step start, vacuum TR relay, fairly good voltage regulation underload. One will NEVER need to push the grids to 100 ma maximum. I get a full 1500 watts output with a "tickle" of 10-15ma grid drive. Efficiency is about 68-72% which is excellent. It does not cover 160m but WARC bands tune nicely. Strong good air flow over tubes. The newer 5K coming out will cover 160 I understand and priced at well over $5000. Should you find one of the 10 or so made a couple of years ago, GET IT! 73, San K5YY
