Great Buy  Time owned: more than 12 months
I purchased this amp in 1992 and have been using it on all bands and modes. The 3CX1200A7 tube is almost indestructible. It still puts out full power after all these years. Henry is in a class by themselves when it comes to amps, nothing cheap about them. It will run at 1KW RTTY or CW all day long. Great for contests or pile ups. The 1200 version is no longer in production they changed to the 8877 tube for this model. Also an excellent amp.
Drawbacks are few. As are all Henry amps this one is loud, lots of blower noise. I got use tot it. There was also a problem with the amp on 10/12 meters not getting full power out. A mod is available to correct this. Give Ted Henry a call for details.
