Excellent antenna, great buy!

This antenna was the result of a request from this reviewer to Gulf Alpha for a 432 MHz version of their 440 MHz 8-element Yagi. Construction is impressive and features solid elements, a sturdy two-piece boom, pre-installed low-loss coax balun and type N connector, all stainless-steel hardware, and a superb element-to-boom mounting scheme. Assembly & adjustment is simple & straightforward. The antenna performs very well at my fixed station but is also an ideal candidate for portable/Rover use because of its compact size (about a 60" boom length) and rugged construction. It can be mounted from the center or back end of the boom. It is priced very competitively and is better than at least one similar-size antenna that has less gain, a UHF connector, poorer construction, and a higher price!
If ordering this antenna from Gulf Alpha just ask for the 8-element 432 Yagi built for K4MSG. Pete will know what you need.
