Jeff just refurbished my R4B. I can't praise him and his work enough - fair, fast, good communications. Receiver works like a dream. Second time I've sent a receiver to him. A 2B the first time- same results. We're lucky he's willing to work for us!

I was referred to Jeff by Steve, WB2WIK, after a question I posted, right here on eHam.net. It took me a little time to get the money together, that I thought it would take to repair my Drake, and upgrade the AC-4. Well, lo and behold, Jeff was far more reasonably priced that I had anticipated. His work was TOP NOTCH, and I have already told several friends to see him for work they need on older rigs. He is thorough and meticulous, in his work. and my radio looked and operated like new, when it returned from him. And, it returned sooner than he promised. He was up front about what work he does, and lets you know his expectations, before you ever send anything to him. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is the best, in my eyes.

A True Drake Wizard!

I sent Jeff my broken TR3. He stayed in constant e-mail contact with me during its transit and time in his possession. He completely repaired and re-aligned this old radio to factory specs. He called me when it was finished and explained what had been done to my transceiver. It was returned promptly and now works perfectly, having been fixed for less than $175. Both receive and transmit are exceptionally 'hot!' I am highly satisfied with his work and recommend him without reservation! Steve S. K4SPS

Jeff is knowledgeable, fair & fast. Having been a 1st class commercial tech for 30 years I can tell you Jeff's experience & knowledge can't be taught, only learned by the years of experience that he has. I was very fortunate & grateful to find him.

Jeff knows and breathes Drake,Collins, and vintage gear. I've had his expertise fix/restore several Drake & Collins radios over the years and they come back looking and sounding like new even after I have managed to "screw them up". Good communications, quick turnaround, reasonable rates & charges. You won't be disappointed with his work. A true gentleman and outstanding technician for your vintage gear.

Jeff realigned my Drake C-line. He found a bad FET in the R-4C, causing the recieve to be weak. He cleaned up the front panel and knobs to look like new again. Jeff also installed a fan on the T-4XC, which I really like. Fast turn-around, 1 week. I highly recommend Jeff!

From the first e-mail to delivery of my
B-line, working with Jeff was pleasant and
informative. Never once did I feel like my
rigs were being held "hostage" for any added
work or cost. It was nice to call him and
hear him say he had been listening to my
receiver for several hours to be sure of
reliability.
The best part was the opening of the
boxes on delivery. It was almost like being
in the 60's and seeing brand new rigs.

My first experience was perfect. I sent Jeff my 28 year-old TR-7 (I'm the original owner, and this rig was never serviced at all in 28 years) to see if he could de-bug an annoying problem, which was something in the BFO/product detector circuit -- and intermittent!
Jeff didn't find it at first, but re-furbished the rig anyway, replacing knobs and feet and blue filters, adjusting various stuff that drifted out of adjustment over the years. Then, thankfully, he kept trying the rig over a period of days and it finally failed! I'm glad that happened in his shop and not mine, as it drove me batty.
He found the problem to be a crystal, and replaced it.
I received the rig back yesterday in perfect condx and so far, it works great. At least Jeff confirmed I wasn't imagining things and he did a great job by having patience to find an intermittent problem (never fun) and making the rig look as good as new.

I have known Jeff for years and have used his services more than once on my older equipment. All the testimony you have read previously about Jeff is absolutly true! Send him your radio's for repair and get back what looks and operates like new. Sometimes I had to look at the serial number to be sure this was really my old radio. You will never be disappointed with the results. Strictly first class. Keep up the great work.

Outstanding work and turn around time!

What can I say? I was devestated when I let the smoke out of my TR-7. I contacted several of the listed Drake Repair shops. While none of them indicated they were anything less that what they advertised, Jeff came across as someone who truly enjoys what he is doing. His pricing is very fair and he returned all the removed parts. As a plus, he replaced the lamps, blue filters and cleaned the VFO gears. He then ran the rig for several days to insure its operation!
The TR-7 looks like and works just as well as new. Turn around time was less then 20 days from when I shipped!
