Fantastic

The FT-817ND is a great little rig. One of my only few gripes with this transceiver is that Yaesu didn't include some type of prop-up bar stand to elevate the front. But "Pegleg" solves this problem perfectly! Delivery was fast. Installation took about 5 minutes. The legs fold out of the way when not needed, and are of first class quality.
My only comment would be to "carefully" unpack and inventory the parts. Note the two thicknesses of the plastic washers that comes in the kit. These are very small washers. During installation, one of the thin washers blew off my table without me realizing it (by some mircle, I later found it). No doubt misplacing one of these small parts is easy to do. But not to fear, this kit comes with spare parts! This is a great product!

Very nice for the FT-817

Bought mine in Friedrichshafen this year. Its a must have addition for the FT-817 and very handy. But be sure to have all modifications already done and all the filters and options are built in in your Rig, as removing and reinstalling the Peg Leg can be a bit annoying.

A Must-Have :-))

Easy to order - very quick delivery - easy to follow assembly pictures (Monkey see- Monkey do).
They even included spares of the bits I might drop!! It took less that 5 minutes to install. I did use one size bigger rubber pads (from my local hardware store) and, with a right angle adaptor on the rear antenna socket, I have no problems operating anywhere.
Highly recommended..

The most elegant solution

As someone who does a great deal of travelling, I appreciate the highly portable facility of the FT-817. The Peg Leg povides an elegant solution, balancing the needs of function with the necessity of ease of transport. The Peg Leg tucks away along the side of the radio when not in use and does not interfere with the outer carrying case. Carrying any other stand would be a burden. These legs can be articulated to suit individual needs and when fully engaged, allow easy access to the various fuctions.

Not much to say. if you own an 817, you will appreciate these. The heck with extra stands or props to hold your radio up. This is the cleanest most portable way to do it.

Fantastic!

Every FT-817 should have one of these kits installed! In fact, Yaesu needs to copy it (er liscence it from Palm Radiod!).
I've fumbled with most of the tilt stands out there for the FT-817. None work as well as the Peg Leg. The Peg Leg is simply the best.
Nothing more to say. Just buy one!

Solves the tilt view/operating problem with the FT-817 very ingeniously. Much less "clunky" than other solutions. They even supply extra parts when and if needed. A bit pricey but worth it. This is the one you should choose.
