it powers my Icom IC 7000  Time owned: months
Does a fine job-no problems. I have it powering my Icom IC 7000 which is mostly used as a 2 meter rig and a backup hf rig.

Like having the meters although usually there is nothing going on for them to tell me about.

Sits here and powers my radio  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
What can I say? It sits here and powers my radio. My floppy drive lives on top of it. The meters tell me what's going on (typically not much) and it doesn't buzz or anything. My laptop is about 2 inches away from it, no problems. My rig is about 6 inches from it, no problems. I say, don't fool around, just get an Astron.

Rock Solid and Dependable  Time owned: more than 12 months
Bought it used quite some time ago. It is rock solid. The meters are great indicators of what's going on. This supply runs all the radios including 3 HF tranceivers and a dual band VHF/UHF since I only transmit on one at a time.

I have a RS-12 which is even older, it too has been a great performer.

Long-Lasting  Time owned: more than 12 months
Been using the same Astron RS-20M for over 15 years without a single problem. Still looks and works like it was new.

Built like a tank!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Wow! Before I even opened the box, I was impressed with how heavy this thing is!
It got even better after I opened the box. This thing is built like a tank.
Both meters (a big selling point for me) are very sensitive…I could see the needle deflect just by adjusting the display dimmer on one of the radios I have hooked up!
I am not running any transmitters off of this, but I do have several scanners, receivers and accessories hooked up to it, and this supply doesn’t even break a sweat. It doesn’t even get warm to the touch after being on several hours.
When the unit is turned on, it is rock solid…no hum, no “Bang!” at startup, just smooth, clean, quiet power.
The only thing I have found wrong with this supply is the ac power cord receptacle. It seems a little loose and unsecure, like a good jolt could break it loose.
However, this supply isn’t going anywhere once I get it in its final location, so I am not too worried about it.
