Must have rig saver

Had a major overload problem with Icom 756PROII receiver (R1) input when using an 80 meter rotatable dipole antenna near a large loop receiving antenna. Came very close to burning out the front end.
The RIP-1 solved the problem completely by isolating the receiver input during transmit. Even a KW being transmitted causes no problems now. This little gadget is a real rig saver.
I believe this same problem also exists on the Icom PROIII and maybe even the IC7800. Possibly on other brand rigs. A very serious engineering flaw on Icom's part and one they seem to deny exists. If you are thinking of using the receive only port on your rig then this is a must have piece of equipment.
