Excellent Rig, a classic  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently obtained the SS-105D (Sept 2011) after a 30 year wait for one!

The rig has the FM boards and narrow CW filter fitted and has been in operation nearly full-time since it arrived.

Construction is very good indeed and its design is classic. All the controls are logically placed and very sturdy to use.

The tuning dial has a good feel and tuning rate, CW and SSB are easily resolved. It is very stable and rock solid after 5 minutes.

The receiver is extremely sensitive and very quiet . The pre-selector works well and I have had no issues - if anything this receiver is close to the best I have used - a real treat.

Transmitted audio is a little light but nothing untoward - all audio reports have been complimentary.

Mine has the 100 Watt PA as a separate unit. I will be testing it and fitting it soon but if you have experiences of this I would be very happy to hear from you.

There seem to be few owners of this classic rig so I would really be happy if another owner got in touch!

Thanks
Martyn, GW6ITJ
