Excellent book for HF mobile setup and use

Time owned: 3 to 6 months

The second of 3 compendiums written by Don Johnson W6AAQ covering all the tricks and ideas garnered in 45+ years of HF Mobile operating. As many know, Don Johnson 'invented' in 1991 what was to become known as the screwdriver antenna. This antenna revolutionized HF mobile operations by allowing remote tuning while moving. This book lays out some of the history behind that design and has actual plans to build your own. I highly recommend that anyone considering buying or building a screwdriver style antenna read this book FIRST. It may save you lots of money and troubles with your install. Well worth any cost even though it is out of print, an electronic copy can be found at WorldRadio magazine website in their Worldradio 2000 Archive CD for $24.95.
