Excellent Support  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have owned the smallest Bigboy for some years now, and it has performed very well, turning my small Mast. Recently, I have had some problems with the readout system. I contacted Gianni at Prosistel and explained my problem, and he was very helpful, and to cut a long story short, gave full product support, well outside of the warranty period. I am very happy with the support I have received, and the product in general...well above the norm, and an excellent piece of equipment !

Bad News  Time owned: more than 12 months
PST 2051 finally gave up the ghost during the early December 2006 gale force winds. Awarded 4 out of 5 because it was handling a 4ele SteppIR when disaster stuck. Back to the drawing board, Cheers, John

Still going strong  Time owned: more than 12 months
I was probably amongst the first to purchase the PST 2051 from Vine Antennas some years ago.
This rotator has withstood some very severe storms here on the South West Coast of Scotland, used over the last few years to grapple with my 4ele SteppIR, it just keeps on doing what it is supposed to do, be it locking the antenna in a fixed position, or turning it in high winds.
There was a very large KLM 2mtr beam aloft the SteppIR for a couple of years, no problems coping with this extra hardware either.
This rotator cannot be faulted, but the control cable connector into the earlier controllers are a bit of a pain in the arse.
I recommend this rotator, there is a model for every application too!!!!!!!

King of rotors  Time owned: more than 12 months
I've had my PST61c for 4 years and its the best rotor out there. I have a LPDA on it and they like to rock back & forth in the wind, but this rotor keeps it just where I leave it. Been thru 1 hurricane (Rita) and the beam twisted at the boom/mast clamp but the rotor didn't move what so ever.

I wish they still had the C model controller. I don't really know why they changed it (sure like the direct entry keypad) but, I'll buy another one for the other tower going up this summer.

Update to first review in 2002  Time owned: more than 12 months
Pro Sis Tel or BIG BOY ROTATORS.
I have had a PST2051 since August 2000 and its STILL GOING STRONG.
I have had a Cushcraft A4s, 2 x 12 ELE M2 2m yagi antennas, AND a 28 ele M2 70cms antenna ALL on the tower, now a P60HD Versatower. And the rotator has never had a problem. In the 6 years that I have had the unit the only problem that I have had was the fuse holder on the control unit went bust on me the contact in the holder broke off. This took me all of 10 mins to replace. Apart from that little hick-up its performed flawlessly in all the 6 years.
All together a superb rotator AND HAVE recommended to anyone that is looking for a BUILT LIKE A TANK rotator. Forget these Yaesu Rotators they just cant cut it like these monsters.

Thanks,

Great service  Time owned: more than 12 months
I own the prosistel71 for over 2 years now. I experienced a failure almost 2 years ago and the rotator was replaced no questions asked and upgraded with chain coupling free of charge. Now last week I had another failure, called Gianni, and with 5 minutes we have come to a solution for the problem I experience at the moment. Its rare to find this kind of top customer service. I owned several Yaesu rotators in the past and nothing compares to the quality and the customer service of prosistel. ps: I got the rotator initially from VINE (GW3YDX) and find him to be of similar service!

Load of nails!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Hi I had one of these and sent it back! It produced wide band hash on 6m and 2m at over s9 when you turned it. Just what you need when peaking up on a weak signal. In the end I sent it back. Was a total waste of time De Reg G8VHI

----------------
My company retailed the PST641 that G8VHI complains about. I feel that readers of his review should be aware of several important factors.

1. Our records indicate the rotator in question was returned to us in MAY 2002. This case is therefore almost three years old, since which time there have been no further reports of motor noise.

2. Although G8VHI is completely aware of when this problem happened, for some reason best known to himself, he presents this as a current issue (please note his review is dated March 17, 2005), so completely misleading those who may be considering purchase of one of these excellent units.

3. The noisy rotator was one of a small batch of around 15 rotators. The electric motors in that batch were found to be faulty after the rotators were made, although it took a while to track down the fault as the noise was only present on VHF.

4. Users raising the issue of VHF noise were offered the option of either returning the rotators for a noise-elimination modification, or they were sent a kit of filter parts, and fitting instructions if they felt technically OK to do the mod themselves. All this of course was at zero cost to them. We completed two mods on the bench here, and even with a wire antenna wrapped round the motor case, no noise was evident on the VHF bands following the modifications.

5. We have invited G8VHI to withdraw his review as being completely inappropriate and misleading, but we have not even received the courtesy of a reply of any kind.

Great Service from Array Solutions  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Purchased a PST61 during the summer of 2003 to be used with my new tower to turn my rather large VHF thru microwave stack. The original control box was deffective (determined while bench testing before being installed on the tower). Jay at Array Solutions worked with me to help trouble shoot it and reffered me to his Prosistel expert. After determining that the control box was defective Jay immediately shipped me a new one. The rotor has been installed on the tower since December and has received lots of use this spring and summer and works well. The unit is very heavy duty and handles the 25+ sq.ft. antenna load better than my old Tailtwister did. So far it has performed as expected other than the original control box problem (which is why I down graded the rating to a 4). The customer support at Array Solutions has been outstanding!

PST-61 is great  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have been using a PST-61 for the past 12 months and am very pleased with it's performance. It turns three large M2 Yagi's totaling over 30 square feet with ease. A particulary nice feature is the control box with it's large LED display and the point and shoot feature.

The distrubitor is Array Soulutions, Inc. and they have been great to do busines with.
