Lives up to it's claims  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I bought one of Bob's G5RV-LLB antennas to replace a VanGorden unit. Bob Claims that it resonates on 40, 20, 17, 12 and 10 meters. It does! With a manual tuner I can get it loaded on all bands, 80 thro 10. But my auto tuner (LDG, 100 PRO) doesn't like it on 80 when it is wet and 30 meters is also a problem in the wet.
Why am I impressed? Bob was at a local flea market and not only answered my questions about the antenna but showed up at my home to inspect the installation and give me help. The fact is I really didn't need help. I just needed to understand the antenna better. (and the limitations of an autotuner)
I think he has a great product.
He uses flex wire (on this antenna) and quality parts. Instructions were clear and assembly of the antenna was easy.
