Our Scom 5K has been in operation on the local club UHF repeater since the mid 1990's with no problems. These were probably the most well thought out basic repeater controllers made. Even though they no longer make this controller, Scom is still in business so there is still customer support for it. They now produce a three repeater controller, the 7330. To me the Scom has always given the best bang for the buck in controllers.

Too bad this little 1.5 port controller is no longer made. Mine has been in continuous operation for 10 years, without a hitch. Fairly easy to program, easy to interface. Had to make a few mods to the board to work with my receiver and transmitter combo. Also using the scom digital audio delay board. Works and sounds great. Only the basics here, no autopatch, no voice ID's. But it does have a 100 setpoint scheduler and 3 inputs and 3 outputs to control fans or alarms or whatever. Nice unit if you need a simple controller and can find one used.
