My IC746 lost its backlight which I tried to fix. I broke two pots in the process. I shipped it to Matt and it was repaired without charge. I could not ask for better service.

Sent matt my IC 746 with a Dark LCD display, he also discovered my Internal tuner was not functioning correctly. Both issues repaired quickly and at a very reasonable price.
This guy, I am sure is busy, but he answers his phone and will talk to you about any problems you may be having with a radio.
I rate him 5 Stars Plus.

I sent Matt an IC-728 for repair, it was returned and fixed swiftly, correctly and priced fair, what more could you ask for. Now if I could find an auto mechanic that was as good, reliable and fair. I know, I'm dreaming.

Matt is the man, if you need Icom service you can't do better than Matt's service. He keeps his word and knows his business. Fast, friendly and very reasonable rates.

ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY!!

I sent my 756 PROII to Matt when the screen suddenly went completely black. I was anticipating big trouble and big bucks. Matt analyzed the problem over the phone and gave me a "guesstimated" repair price of about $200.00. I received the repaired rig about a week later for a total price of $107.00 for labor, parts and shipping. Below is a thank you note which I just sent to Matt:
Matt,
I received my 756 PROII today and have only one complaint. Are you sure you sent me the same radio I sent you?? Not only is the previously black screen now working, it seems that you changed the oil and filters, lubricated it, rotated the tires, filled the windshield washer and detailed the rig inside and out for good measure. Thanks for a job well done efficiently and for a reasonable price. I may send the rig back every 30,000 miles just so you can give it your magic touch. Tnx agn es 73, Tom K3MOV

i acquired a 706mk2g, which had a few problems. i dispatched the radio to matt, and all problems taken care of, with very quick turn around time.
very friendly, and excellent service.

Revision and correction.

Correction to my original review.
After some research for the facts, contact with Icom America Customer Service, and the Icom 756PROIII service manual, I have to make a correction to my earlier review. Matt was correct on all counts, and only did what Icom would allow him as a service center.
He deserves a solid 5 rating.

I have an ICOM 737A which my late Elmer W4CDU gave to me. It was 500Hz off frequency. Sent it to Matt last year for fix and realignment. He fixed it in less than 10 days, at a reasonable price. I would give Matt and SARTS a 5/5!

OUTSTANDING

If you need ICOM repair or service..LOOK NO FURTHER. MATT at SART is your man. I had a FEEDTHRU VSWR PROBLEM on my PW-1. I called him and then he called me back the NEXT day. I told him what I had done to isolate the problem, but was afraid to dig any further. He gave me a couple of ideas to try, and told me to call back if they did not work. Since, I still had the problem, I made arrangements to bring the PW-1 to him for repair. [ about a 6hr dive.] He gave me great directions and had me drop it off late Friday afternoon. He said he would have it done by the next morning [SAT]. When i asked him for some kind of estimate, he said it could run between $150 and $250..I thought that was very fair. We picked the PW-1 up at about 9:30 on SAT. His fee was ONLY $89.00 and he explained exactly what he had done to fix it. It is working perfectly again. This guy is the real deal..smart, friendly and honest. What more could you ask for. I hope my IC7800 never needs repair, but if it does ..it will taken to Matt. Doc Sheller K8RR
