great  Time owned: more than 12 months
What can I say that hasn't already been said?
ultra fast turn around, minimum charge, and even used the parts I sent along for the repair.
responds to every e-mail, and tells you when shipped, with a tracking number. 5 out of 5
totally satisfied.

Mike repaired my Icom 706  Time owned: more than 12 months
Recently Mike repaired my original Icom-706. It was dropped hard by me and and it no longer transmitted on HF. Mike did a great job and turn around time was fast. He communication was excellent. I have had the rig back for a couple of weeks and have been operating it and could not be happier. This is the only repair company I have had any experience with and will gladly use him again. 73, Mike KE4ILG

Super Service On ICOM IC-821H  Time owned: more than 12 months
Mike has rules, and I appreciate the honesty and no BS approach! Super turn-around time, and as far as I can tell a fantastic repair on my old Icom IC-821H. It is still my favorite satellite rig, and now I feel i will be able to use it for many more years, if Mike will keep it running for me! Honest, Very Fair Pricing, Great Service!

Prompt and excellent service  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
A few months after I purchased an IC-735 off EBAY, I noticed that the CW note was raspy on 17 and 15M. This indicated to me that the rig required that the trimmer caps be replaced (common failure). I sent the rig to Mike. The trimmer caps were replaced, a new lithium battery was installed and a couple of other things were tweaked up. I also had him replace the bulbs. The rig came back in excellent operating condition along with the replaced parts. Excellent communications and very reasonable rates. There was no sticker shock.

IC706MKIIG  Time owned: more than 12 months
Extremely competent repair. Great dialogue before during and after the repair (this just doesn't happen with OEM service depots!). Accepted the rig back for an in-warranty repair and made it right (initial repair part failed). I like that he accepts PayPal for payment. Would defintely recommend him to other hams and use him for repair services beyond my capabilities.

Top Notch - Excellent  Time owned: more than 12 months
Add me to the list of very satisfied customers.

Mike addressed the problem in my rig, fixed it, and then added some circuitry to help avoid the problem in the future..

He's a class act. I won't bother sending out of warranty equipment back to manufacturer repair centers again.

Have a broken rig, no warranty..? Sent it to Mike without worry.

ONE OF HAM RADIOS BEST KEPT SECRET  Time owned: more than 12 months
My HF rig is an FT-1000MP MARK-V Field, and in all probability do to static discharge the receive went quiet. Mike was notified by my neighbor TOM (K2ESE) of my predicament and if he could take on the repair. Mike agreed and advised that he could work on the radio starting on 1/12/09 the radio was sent on the 9th and arrived at Mike's place on the 13th. The work was complete and ready to ship and was back in transit to me on the 21st arrived on the 23rd and was on the air that evening.

All this was communicated by Mike without missing a beat, detailed e-mails were provided constantly Mike returned the two surface mounted components back along with the possibility of the cause. Oh, I forgot to mention that I messed around with the hidden NINE menu of the radio thinking that the original problem was there (this is the equivalent of a golden screw driver, only thru the software) and Mike had to realign the radio because of this. When I received the bill, I was amazed that Mike charged such a reasonable fee for so much work.

In all probability it took longer than it should have only because I told Mike that I was going on a business trip and was in no hurry for the rig. He advised that he would like to run it for a while. If you are looking for a repair Technician that is,

1. Reliable
2. Honest
3. Professional
4. Thorough
5. Informative
6. I'm sure I am forgetting something, did I say Honest?

I can’t say enough of how satisfied I am with Mike’s service; we all have gone thru nightmares at one time or another, sending equipment back to the manufacturer for repair, this is not the case here. Give Mike a call or send him an e-mail you won’t be disappointed.

Very Reasonable and first rate communication!  Time owned: more than 12 months
My Yaesu FT-890 had developed the classic frequency drift problem that is common with the 840/890 series. Mike diagnosed the problem and replaced a tiny capacitor in the refernce oscillator. The repair was very quick and inexpensive, and the rig was only gone for two weeks, which included the round trip UPS travel. I received regular updates as to when the rig was received, what the problem was, and when it would ship, including the tracking number. The rig now works just like it did in 1993 when I bought it.

I can't emphasize enough how pleased I am with his repair service.

TOP NOTCH ALL THE WAY!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
My experience with Mike was top notch from the begining to the end. I had a problem with power fluctuation on UHF on my 30 month old Kenwood TS-2000. Mike made a prognosis over the phone on my initial e-mail contact with him. It was only 2 days after Mike received my radio that he contacted me and said my radio was fixed. It was as he said, bad soldering at the PIN Diodes. There were a couple of other problems that I was not aware of that Mike also took care of. The cost of this repair was MUCH lower than I anticipated. The radio was returned in the same cosmetic condition that it was sent in. The radio now works as new. Mike is very knowledgeable and honest and I would not hesitate to send a radio to him again if the need arose.
