You can make it sound like a police car!

This is a very cool little sweeper, you can find them for $200 or so on Ebay pretty often, it's a func-gen and sweeper, with AM, FM, and external modulation. It's not too big so it doesn't take up tons of bench room, and one very cool feature is, if you put a speaker on it, and use just the right settings, you can make it sound JUST like a police siren! It's not DDS or anything fancy like that so if you want to know your precise freq, better use a counter, but it's very handy to have on the bench.
