I was fortunate in being given this set on "loan" without charge so believe i can give an honest opinion. The dtr 7 reviewed here covers from 7.000-7.100 although models are available for other bands. It is for tx'ing in the cw mode, but can resolve ssb signals in receive. It has a headphone skt and enough output to drive a loudspeaker. tx Output is 2 watts on this the earlier model [1990's] .receive is excellent though prone to breakthrough from b,cast stn's {sometimes}.filtering could be tighter.I have had more fun with this radio than the "state of the art" rigs i normally use.The kits come with all the bits, and if you purchase it as i kit you have the added pleasure of building it yourself.
