they provided a way for us to have as many or as few bands as we wanted

I bought this TM-741A new and it's performed flawlessly all these years.
50w on 6m and 2m, 35w on 70cm!

Greatest Tri Band Radio Around!
|
Time owned: 3 to 6 months

This is the greatest VHF/UHF Mobile/Base Rig I have ever owned. Too bad Kenwood Discontinued this one and the TM-742A. These were great rigs when they were out. I currently own the Kenwood TM-641A With all 3 bands installed, and couldn't ask for more! If you can find one for a good deal, Grab it!
