High Quality

The Pryme speaker mic has a superior PTT button with a satisfying "click" sound. The lapel clip is also a superior design. The clip itself is plastic but is a nice wide 2cm. The spring and swivel are metal and the assemby is screwed to the back of the mic.
The speaker is nice and loud without any discernable distortion. The microphone receives good audio reports.
All told a very nice, high quality speaker mic.

Inexpensive alternative

Typically available for about $19.95, sometimes less. This compact speaker mic is a great value, much less than Kenwood's speaker mic offering. Decently built, good sound and good mic audio. Large swivel clip allows clipping to just about anything - and has dentents, so it doesn't spin too easily as some do. Cord is a decent length. I've seen some poor reviews of Pryme products, but this one actually surprised me with its apparent quality.
