Terrible RFI
|
Time owned: 3 to 6 months
|
I had high hopes for this charger, given its compactness and resistance to water. However, I soon discovered that it puts out terrible RFI from MF to (at least) VHF. I installed chokes on the AC and DC lines, but with little effect.
I also came home one day to find that it was overcharging my wet lead acid trolling motor battery, with lots of gas discharge and some loss of electrolyte.
Just pray that your neighbors don't use this one, either.
