Great product

Like the previous review, this is the state of the art in battery chargers, but don't think of using it to keep your emergency battery in the shack charged since the cooling fan is constantly on and sounds like a jet engine.
Darn good, otherwise.

Not your father's battery charger

This is one model in the line-up of Schumacher's Speed Chargers. The built-in processor senses battery status, adjusts charge rates and diagnoses problems. It will charge and maintain 12V marine, automotive or deep cycle flooded, AGM, or sealed gel batteries. This is state of the art battery charging. Charging rates for the SC-6000 are 2, 10,and 30 amps, plus there's a 60 amp engine start setting. A digital readout indicates battery voltage, or percent of charge capacity while a small fan cools the circuitry. I got mine at Wal-Mart, deeply discounted where it is sold as a WM-6000A. Speed Charger features are nearly identical for all models. What differs is the charge rates. Highly recommended.
