Good tuner for the trail
Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I was looking for a compact tuner to go with my SST 20 for backpacking. I decided on the ALT kit, and have been very happy with it.
The kit came quickly and complete. Instructions were very good, and had no problem putting the tuner together in a few hours. The SWR indicator is easy to see, and I like being able to tune into a resistive bridge to avoid damage to the finals. I use a 50ft wire, and have been able to tune as an inverted L and as a sloper without a counterpoise. Good first time kit.
