Excellent Service, Great Communication, Reasonable rates
|
Time owned: more than 12 months
|
|
I contacted Carol just before she shipped out recently to inquire about getting my Yaesu FT-101E repaired. At first, since she was preparing to ship out,she was reluctant to take on any work until her return late February. I was willing to wait until then, but she decided to squeeze it in before she left. The repair went smoothly and before I knew it the radio was back and working better than new. The communication via telephone during the repair period was excellent as she completely explained the problem and how she was going to fix it. In addition, the radio was completely cleaned internally, all controls lubricated, aligned and brought back to better than new operationally. Consequentally, I find the experience with Certified Electronics and Carol more than satisfactory and,in fact, way above average in all aspects. I would recommend Certified Electronics to anyone who is in need of quality repairs at reasonable rates. Great job Carol and keep up the good work! I look forward to your return. Be safe at sea!

Certified Electronics can work magic with radios!
|
Time owned: 6 to 12 months
|
If you look back in the reviews of Certified Electronics and of course Carol, you will see a review I wrote about the excellent work at a very reasonable price on my FT-757GX. I’m the original owner and it now resides proudly serving the Yonkers, NY Police Athletic League Ham Radio Classroom.
Well I sold my FT-101E to buy the 757 many years ago. I have missed that radio! At the end of a Spring 2011 Hamfest I saw a man loading some things on a cart & one was a 101E! Throwing caution to the wind I bought it and brought it back to the PAL. It worked GREAT! Once & only Once! (I could just hear the “I told you so’” in my head) Even though Carol was busy and not taking in work our 101 was seen by “The Doctor of Yaesu-ology”. One thing about Carol, our PAL club would be only a VHF/UHF club without that magic. Before I could read my emails it was torn down and built back up again in my hands. Man is it a SWEET RIDE! All the kids have to do is send out the club call N2PAL and there is a pile-up.
Carol works magic with whatever comes into the shop. The prices are always reasonable and help is just an email or phone call away. There is no better tech at ANY price! ... and believe me, I’ve tried the bitter taste of bad techs!
Carol...Thanks for being YOU! Ham Radio is a much nicer place that you’re here!

Carol rocks! Carol not only repaired my Yaesu vintage gear including transverters but made sure I knew how to hook everything together and use it properly. Lots of helpful hints and ideas along with onging, helpful updates and suggestions. Never pushy, always friendly and helpful. All repairs were completed in a short period of time.
A first rate experience!

A letter to Carol
|
Time owned: 0 to 3 months

Hello Carol!
I have to tell you that I am very impressed. In this modern era of shoddy
workmanship, poor customer service and general apathy from so many business
people, YOU are a true master of your profession!
Not only did you do the repairs we discussed and included all components as
part of our deal the first time, but your attention to detail is
unparalleled. My FT-101E doesn't even look like the same radio! It came to
me looking almost new. And the little things that noone else would even
bother with made a huge impression on me. Replacing case screws with the
correct item, and I'm quite sure you even replaced the bandswitch knob with
a correct one.
Please do consider me a reference anytime. I will go out of my way to brag about how great you and
your crew treated me.
If I'm ever in your part of Georgia, I would be honored to buy you coffee or
a beer and listen to anything you would care to tell me about how you got to
be so good at what you do.
Your very satisfied customer,

I called Certified Electronics and Carol answered the call. At first she told me that she was very busy and did not have time to look at my Yaesu FT 980 but I convinced her that I could wait if she would at least take a look at it. I drove to her shop from Mississippi on Thursday and delivered the FT 980 and expected a long wait but on Saturday I got a call that she had finished my radio and Tuesday I pick-up my radio. I've now had time to check that old fine piece of equipment out and I thank Carol W4CLM for taking the time to fix it. For fast efficient and reasonably price repairs call Certified Electronics Thanks and 73's Dwayne KE5UTI

Epic story condensed
Had a serious problem with a ft-980 called Carol Aug 3rd.
She had me send it even though as of Aug 1st was not accepting more repairs! After timeless hours and 4 days of trying to revive this rig it was not worth it and made a great offer to me for a brand new ft-450 at a very reasonable price.
Communication was very good.
Thank you Carol you are one of the very best in this trade. From my heart I really maen that.
I would recommend Certified electronics to all.
Ps. Nature of Bootcamp officer is to be Provocative and push buttons to get a response good or bad. I just have to learn I'm not at work nomore.
Have a wonderfull trip.
Godbless You :-)

My worn out Johnson Viking Valiant Is back to life!
|
Time owned: 6 to 12 months
|
Problem: OLD Johnson wore slap out.
Solution: Drive 80 miles to Carol at Certified Electronics and ask her to fix my Johnson. Result: It not only works like new,she took the time to clean and shine it up. She also replaced my old scratched up face with a like new one and didn't take any money for the extras!
When I asked Carol if she could breathe some new life into it,she told me first thing, "I'll do it but it'll take some time. These old Johnson's usually need a lot of attention to make them work like they should. I have other work to do and will work on it when I get breaks. If that isn't OK,I won't take it in". As usual she told me what was what with no BS.You always know where you stand with her. The woman is honest and straight forward almost to a fault.
In the time she had my Johnson I had the occasion to drive down to the shop with a friend and his FT 950 that got attacked by a golden screwdriver!. She got it fixed while we waited. My friend is writing his own review about his experience with Carol's work on the FT 950
So,32 days after I left my Johnson with her I get a call from her saying it was working again like new! It not only operates like a new rig it looks damn near new! Thanks again Carol for more excellent work. I'll be back!!!
