I purchased my first classic FT-101EE from my elmer who was given it from a friend of a friend to sell in perfect working order..(you know the story) I jumped at the chance as the price was rite and the radio was in great cosmetic condition.
Well it was to good to be true radio had some problems...smoking problems things did not look good. I was almost ready to throw the thing in the trash after plugging it in and seeing stars and stripes (sparking stars and stripes) and then the shack lights went out.
I put the radio on the floor in the garage untill I decided to send it to Carol Maher. I just had to know if there was a chance to bring this old girl back. After recieving an email Carol sent me a very detailed write up about problems with wiring and capacitors ect ect. She gave me the reassurance that if anyone could fix it - it would be her. Several emails of constant progress updates and after pulling an all nighter on the rig - Thats exactly what she did. She is the best and I would trust her with the space shuttle..she could have told me the radio was beyond repair and kept it for the graveyard. Carol made the radio look like new. She replaced several parts and cleaned all the controls , aligned it. She also worked on the AC and DC Powersupplies and corrected several issues. Now I have this beautiful rig on the radio shelf. If Carol works on your rig you know that what she tells you is solid information, and the work is top notch.Having a radio brought back to life that was manufactured when I was only 5 years old and now working the world with it gives me great satisfaction and enjoyment.
Thank You Carol A++++

I recently purchased a Yaesu FL-2100B and after using it exactly twice, the bandswitch fried!
After asking around, I decided to send the amp off to Carol Maher for repair AND I'M GLAD I DID!! she did an outstanding job of returning the unit to factory spec (it had several...uuhhh..."mods"). She even made it look like new. Throughout the project Carol maintained outstanding communication with me both via e-mail and on the twisted pair. She is very professional and I would reccommend her services to anyone! No question....(8->

Great Work

I had an older FL-2100B amp that was in need of rebuilding and heard that Carol W4CLM of Fox Tango International did fine work. After talking with Carol, I sent my amp knowing it was in good hands. Carol kept in touch via email on the progress and status, and even went beyond what was asked in the restoration process.
I got the amp back, it looked just as it did when purchased new back in the '70's.
I am still using the amp on a daily basis with no complaints what so ever.
If you need your older Yaesu radio's and amps worked on, do not hesitate at all to contact Carol W4CLM of Fox Tango International.
Carol does great work and is the best on the east coast.

Over the years I've used many techs to have different repairs/mods etc. done with various degrees of satisfaction. Over the past year I've had Carol work on a number of restoration projects and repairs and without exception I have been totaly satisfied with her work and turn around time.
IMHO if your Yaesu needs some TLC get in touch with Carol and she'll take care of you.She is the best I've found
