Mean green machine  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
OK since I created this item listing, here's my review:

I give it numbah 1 for durability
Numbah one for being GREEN
Numbah one again for being reassuringly heavy
Numbah one for picking up all kindsa good stuff even if you can only talk on 6
and a big Numbah 1 for being possibly the most popular single military rig in the world, all those 3rd world dictators and mercenary armies can't be all wrong!!

Total: 5!!!!

Very cool, a piece of history you can wear on your back.

Let loose your inner RTO  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
The PRC-77 covers 30 Mhz to 76 Mhz with 4 watts output, so the only legal use is on 6 meters.

Pros: Simple to use. Runs on 12 VDC, so can be used in vehicles or with 10 D-cell battery packs. Accessories are plentiful. Has BNC jack for external antenna.

Cons: Large and heavy compared to modern radios. Frequency settings are in 50 Khz steps. Range is a few miles. Priced from $300-$400 depending on condition.
