SIMPLY THE BEST !

If all you ever owned was those wimpy fiberglass ham grade antennas, you will be AMAZED by the commercial quality construction of the G6!
High gain and strongest ham antenna on the market!
100MPH wind survival!
Handles 600WATTS!
6 Db gain over a DIPOLE!
It NEVER pays to go CHEAP on antennas and HUSTLER
doesn't cut any corners!

Really Performs!

This is my 2nd G6-144B antenna. Both have done an excellent job for me. No issues with either one...easy to assemble, too.
I mounted the G6 on top of my 2 story home which is 22 feet above ground at its peak. I can get in any repeater in my area, plus the wide area repeaters in my section of NC with 50 watts out on my Yaesu FT-2500.
This antenna will do a great job for you...highly recommended from me!

SUPER QUALITY

THE G6-144B, IS THE BEST BUILT ANTENNA I HAVE EVER SEEN. ALL ALUMINUM, AND STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION, AND THE ALUMINUM IS NOT FLIMSY, BUT, GOOD QUALITY HARD DRAWN, SIMILAR TO AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM. I HAVE REPLACED MY CUSCRAFT AR2XB, WITH IT AND THE FIRST THING I NOTICED IS THE SWR STAYS PUT. I AM TO OLD TO FOOL AROUND PUTTING UP, AND TAKING DOWN ANTENNAS. SO, IF YOU WANT AN ANTENNA THAT REQUIRES NO FOOLING AROUND WITH TO KEEP IT WORKING, THIS IS IT. IT IS A BIT PRICEY, BUT, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN THIS ONE.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.GOOD LUCK.

Excellent 2M Base

Agreeing with the previous reviews, the G6-144 is an excellent antenna. I prefer this one over the G7 because it is more rigid. It has a large #10 AWG wound coil at the base and can handle high power and not create duplex noise (ideal for repeater operation).. On mine, I removed the factory radials (3/8" tube) and replaced them with solid stainless steel rods. Wind vibration and oscillations will break aluminum tubing where solid rods will hold up! Still, I give the G6-144 a five star rating.

Good performer

I have had this antenna up for a little over a year now. It has done very well in standing up to the strong ( 60 MPH + at iems) winds that we get here in Kansas. I have good luck in getting into several of the repeaters that are several (40+) miles away with my Icom V-8000 and the antenna at about 60 ft. My previous antenna only did marginal in getting into machines that I now commonly use, with all else being the same but the antenna. The 6 Dbi gain does help.

Great Base Antenna
|
Time owned: 6 to 12 months
|
This antenna is the little brother to the G7-144 and they both are great antennas.
This G6 is built rugged to last a long time and it is only 9.9 feet long.
I have used both of these antennas for many years with on problems of any kind.
I am in an area that has high winds in the winter and this antenna holds up to it great.
I would recommend this antenna to any one looking for a rugged base antenna that has good performance.
