OK General purpose scanner
Time owned: more than 12 months

An OK general purpose scanner if you can find one used for a good price; they are going for $70 to $100 on Ebay. Best feature: At the time I bought it (back in the 90s) it was a resonably priced trunk-capable scanner. Tracks Motorola Type I and II and Ericsson/EDACS systems. Slightly muffled audio. Destroys the battery pack if left to charge too long; if you use this radio off the mains, disconnect the battery. RS-232 capable and shipped with a cable. NOT digital capable. Doesn't cover 54-108, 174-406, and 512-806 MHz.
