The best Scanner antenna
Time owned: 3 to 6 months

I have owned the Austin Condor antenna for some time now. I use it on my Radio Shack PRO-97 handheld scanner. I have used antennas made my Comet,Dimaond and even Radio Shack and none seem to do as well. I am very impressed with its design. It is flexable, but very durable. I have used mine with a BNC mag mount on the roof of my car and it does great. I am so impressed with its ability to hear things the others fall short on. I have wanted one for years and finally got one. It was a wise investment. It is made stronger that any Diamond or Comet antenna. I use it to listen to public service broadcast such as police and fire. It does not do as well on the ham bands because its not made to cover those. If you want a ham antenna buy one. If you want the antenna for your scanner buy a condor. You will not be disappointed in your purchase.
